My handmade cards lately have all been for the guys. We have a lot of them in our family. This time I got to create a handmade ballerina card for my granddaughter who loves ballet and modern dance. I went on a search for the perfect ballerina to include in my card. I found her here
She was already the perfect color theme so to save some time I used the pre-colored version of the ballerina. She’s adorable.
I love the color of the pink cardstock. It reminds me of bubblegum. I used Darice embossing folders; basket weave and polka dots to texturize the card stock. The ribbons are grosgrain in pink and brown with pink dots. The circles were cut with spellbinders nestabilities scalloped circles. The roses are made from mulberry paper which I found at my local family dollar store. They are so pretty. I was really surprised they had them in stock.
For the text I created a brown background with pink dots and printed the sentiment from my graphics program.
Glitter around the edges gave some sparkle.
