For this trip I had in mind to find some nice buttons, ribbons, lace, junk drawer finds or pyrex, cookbooks. We spent a good while just wandering the isles poking around. I was kind of disappointed because nothing really caught my eye. We were ready to leave and then I spied a box of junk with a couple of old books (I love books too).
One book caught my fancy. It’s a hard cover and kind of dilapidated, the cover falling off and some of the pages loose and falling out. I opened it to find it’s a music book, I would say it’s from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s (no date). It measures 12 inches x 9.25 inches. I found it has two beautiful lithographs by C G Roder, both are the same. The music is Symphonies of Beethoven for the pianoforte
What was going to be thrown out came home with me and will be used to make backgrounds for cards, journals and other paper craft treasures. And as a bonus two doilies were in the same box. Though I didn’t find the buttons or ribbons I was hoping to find I did come home a happy camper.
